politicsBeginning in 2010 with a simple curiosity of the Tea Party and freelance assignments for bltwy.com, a new website by MSNBC and BermanBraun that focuses on the celebrity and "entertaining" side of politics, I began photographing events across DC with liberal and conservative persuasion.
Images from this gallery come from the Washington Press Club Foundation's 67th Annual Congressional Dinner; Comedy Central's Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear; the Smart Girls Summit—a gathering of conservative feminists; a Hill reception for freshmen Congressmen and women; the Gen44 Summit for young Democratic leaders; and a Tea Party rally called the Taxpayer March on Washington.
My city is the vortex of all these groups and I plan to continue photographing them as the 2012 presidential election approaches.
